2. Navigate to the Campus Software Library or Cisco Webex Meetings site to acquire the Webex Meetings Desktop App for Mac OS installation file; Navigate to where the downloaded file was placed and double click the file; A drive will appear on your desktop named 'Cisco Webex Meetings.pkg'.

This document will highlight the steps needed for installing Webex Meetings successfully on both Windows OS and Mac OS.

Note: If your computer is owned by UW-Madison, please contact your local IT support for help with installing Webex Meetings. The software may be installed and used on personal machines, but should not be redistributed without permission.

Download Cisco Webex Meetings Virtual Desktop App

For the best video conference experience, download the Webex Meetings desktop app. This video will show you how you can easily start and join your video conf. Install Cisco Webex Meetings or Cisco Webex Teams on any device of your choice. Get step-by-step instructions for scheduling your own Webex meetings, real-time group messaging, and more. Make meeting online easy. 2. Click the Download button for the Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App (If you are presented with two Download buttons for either Apple or Windows operating systems click the button that corresponds with your machine’s operating system). Open the file once it downloads the install wizard will launch. Follow along with the wizard by first clicking Next.

1. Navigate to the Campus Software Library or Cisco Webex Meetings site to acquire the Webex Meetings Desktop App for Windows OS installation file
1. The Campus Software Library download is modified for our University instance of the tool
2. The Cisco Webex Meetings site download is not modified for our University instance of the tool
2. Navigate to where the downloaded file was placed and double click the file
3. Select 'Next'
   
4. Accept the license agreement for installation and select 'Next'
   
5. Select 'Install'
   
1. If you are not an administrator on your machine, you will be prompted to enter administrator credentials after performing this step
   
6. After installation has occurred, select 'Finish'
   
7. The computer will now have Webex Meetings Desktop App installed. This will not need to be repeated for other users of the machine

1. Search for 'Webex Meetings' from the start menu and run the application
2. The application will open with a window prompting for the site URL. This should already be populated with 'uwmadison.webex.com'. If it is not populated with this value, please enter it in as 'https://uwmadison.webex.com'
   
3. Enter in your primary email address and select 'Next'

4. Enter your NetID and password. Select 'Login'
5. Webex Meetings Desktop App will now be ready for you to use

1. Navigate to the Campus Software Library or Cisco Webex Meetings site to acquire the Webex Meetings Desktop App for Mac OS installation file
2. Navigate to where the downloaded file was placed and double click the file
3. A drive will appear on your desktop named 'Cisco Webex Meetings.pkg'. Double click the drive and then double click the file named 'Cisco Webex Meetings.pkg' inside
   
4. Select 'Continue'
   
5. Select 'Continue'
   
6. Select 'Continue' (if you need the install to perform a different type of installation (such as a single user), this is where it would be performed)
   
7. Select 'Install'
   
1. You will be prompted to enter administrator credentials after performing this step
   
8. After installation has occurred, select 'Close'
   
9. The computer will now have Webex Meetings Desktop App installed. This will not need to be repeated for other users of the machine

1. Search for 'Webex Meetings' form the search bar and run the application
2. The application will open with a window prompting for the site URL. If an option for 'uwmadison.webex.com' is not already available, manually enter in the value of 'https://uwmadison.webex.com'. If the option is available, select the option and then select 'Next'
   
3. Enter in your primary email address and select 'Next'

How to install/enable Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App (formerly WebEx Productivity Tools)

What is the Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App?

Cisco has replaced WebEx Productivity Tools with the Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop app. The Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App allows you to schedule, start, and join meetings quickly without going to your WebEx site. This can be done using the WebEx Meetings Desktop app or within Outlook simply select the WebEx icon to add a WebEx meeting to your Microsoft Outlook calendar invitation. The Windows version also supports integration with other programs, such as IBM Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Communicator, Microsoft Lync, and so on.

To get this software, you will need to download it from the Download tab on https://webex.duke.edu/

• Login using the Duke Health Login or Duke University Login
• Go to 'Downloads' at the bottom left

• Select 'Download' to being the installation of the Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App
• During this time you will want to save any unfinished work within Outlook and close out the program
• Once the download finished, go ahead and run the installer
• Once the installer finishes, it will prompt for your email and a site URL
• Use your netid@duke.edu for your email and dukeuniversity.webex.com or dukemed.webex.com for the site URL
• Once this processes, a login will popup requesting your login information: NetID and password
• After the window disappears, you will be able to use the WebEx Meetings app or open Outlook and view the WebEx icon in the top toolbar
