LC Smith Serial Number Confusion, 0 Grade I am a new member and I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I recently was in a small town gunship and ran across an unmolested and uncracked LC Smith '0 Grade'. My nephew just bought a 12 ga. Hunter Arms LC Smith Field Grade, with 30" barrels and extractors and Hunter Arms Co, M'F'G's Fulton, NY and L.C. Smith Field Grade stamped on the barrels. The serial number charts indicate it was made in 1913. What else can anyone tell us about the. A 12 gauge LC Smith Field grade boxlock shotgun Serial A 12 gauge LC Smith Field grade boxlock shotgun Serial no. 30 inch blued barrels marked at right breech LC Smith Field Grade.
